Thursday Walk With Mom
Mom and I walked from Oakway Mall up to Spyglass, around the neighborhoods and back. 4.43 miles, 9090 steps and 1:18.
Strange spots on all the roses, really pretty.
Have no idea what these are. Long stalks kind of like
Lilys with all these little white flowers on them.
Seems late to have so many gorgeous roses in bloom.

Rainy Saturday Walk
Short walk today. Started raining about half way through.
Love this gate! The shrubs are trimmed perfectly.

Made it to Eugene!
I walked from home in Springfield to downtown Eugene today. Took the EMX back to Springfield, then walked back home from the station. 11509 steps, 5.49 miles, 1:40.
Didn't realize the worker guy was watching me take photos.
They're working on the new bridge at I-5.

More than halfway there!
Walkway to the controversial
athlete study building.
Reflection on moat around athlete study center.
But take a look at how ucky the water really is.
I made it! Harlequin Beads at 10th and Willamette in Eugene.

Sunday's Walk
Did 9240 steps, 1.20 hours, and 4.40 miles this morning. Walked to 2nd and Main, then back to McDonald's on Mohawk Blvd and back home. There was a Pop Warner Jamboree this morning at Silke Field, thought these guys were great.
Love the mohawk!
Saturday on the Porch
Had a wonderful afternoon in the sun with a book, a beer, and the animals.
The best part of the day.
Buddy sunning himself.
Zinnias on the porch.
Getting loved on by Heifer.
Sunlight through the coleus.
No, I'm not a Siamese or a rabbit!
Just kind of stupid looking!

Saturday Morning Alley Walk
Walked the alleys this morning to work on balance and see something different. 3821 steps, 1.82 miles, and 30 minutes.
Love the way chickens come running
like dogs and make a sound like cats.
Dew on morning rose.
Dew on rose leaf
Loved this plant, not sure what it is.
Cute little berries with cute little white caps.
The berries hang down in groups like wisteria.
Berries a bit further along.

Church Sign
Sometimes I just don't get church signs. Maybe they don't know my dog.
Sign from this morning's walk.

You see this if you're leaving Springfield and heading

Pedometer and the Rest of the Walk
Put a pedometer program on my IPod today. I walked one hour, 3.2 miles, and 7566 steps. Cools to see the progress.
Kelly Butte and the two bridges when coming
back over the hill.

Used to be Borden, liked the shiny against
the sky, the smell, not so much.

Stopped at the Pump Cafe for breakfast
on the way home from my walk.
The center looks like hands to me.
Dawned on me that this thing is flowering
really late. Crazy growing season.
Turkey Day on Duck Day
Made it up and over the 2nd Street hill today in Springfield and was rewarded with what you see in the following photos.
Turkeys had an escort. Shortly after, another deer
popped out to bring up the rear.

The locals didn't seem surprised to see all these guys.
They obviously can't read!
Pretty colors when he turned into the sunlight.
See that thing hanging down on his front?
Means he's a male turkey.
Strutting his stuff. They're very big!
Mom and baby. She had three that I could see.
Waddles in the sun.
Once this guy got into the brush, he fanned out
his tail and puffed out his chest.
Horses watching me watching the turkeys.
